The link from the main site states this is a place for things fun and interesting, and as Im sure you can tell from my past posts that translates into guns. I love guns, its no secret. As spring starts creeping in and the crew from Bear Creek starts spending more time out and about the content of this blog may change, but during the drizzly months of Jan/Feb its all about guns!
I’d like to start off by showcasing the newest addition to our stock of handguns. This is a Regent 1911A1 chambered in .45 ACp, these are made in Turkey and are a very classic version of the near 100 year old design. I was very impressed with the machining and finish on these guns! Retail-$649.99
As well as the Regent we are also carrying the new Px4 Storm by Beretta. Comes complete with 3 mags and a Pelican hardcase.
I’m a huge fan of .45 acp. It might not be the cheapest pistol round to throw downrange but it sure leaves big holes in the target and a smile on my face. Here is an awesome picture taken from our last range day by Geoff Lang.
Our latest addition to the “Fun gun” section is the Robinson Arms XCR. These rifles run on a piston system and comes stock with back up iron sights by Midwest Industries. Each rifle has a quad piticanny rail machined out of the reciever making it a very rigid/consistent platform for mounting optics, lights, foregrips ect. They are chambered in 7.62×39 with caliber conversions available in .223 and 6.8SPC making this an extremely versatile platform. All of these features have gotten everybody around here pretty excited, but the best part of all is that these guns are NON-RESTRICTED! How sweet is that? You can take these to your favorite backwoods shooting spot just like you would a normal hunting rifle.

We’ve got a bunch of new guns in stock here at Bear Creek, I thought Id use this as a place to showcase a couple of the guns chambered in 7.62×39mm. This is the cheapest centerfire ammo in the country with crates of 1120 rounds going for 199.99 + Tax. Thats roughly 19 cents a round! Anybody who shoots a lot can appreciate that. First up, weve got a good selection or Russian made SKS rifles. In my opinion, everybody with a valid PAL should have at least one of these in their collection! They are simple, reliable,and affordable ($289.99 + tax per gun)
For anybody looking to upgrade there SKS we are offering Tapco SKS stocks. They feature a railed foregrip, collapsible stocks and come in a variety of colours. Pictured is a russian SKS dressed in an olive green Tapco T6 stock with a Tasco red-dot next to a Chinese made SKS-D sporting a 5/30 round mag.
SKS rifles are not the only option for shooting the cost effective 7.62×39. We also have in stock the Ruger Mini-30. Its stainless/synthetic and based off of the legendary action of the M1 Garand and M14. Also available is the eye catching CZ-858, the barrel length of this particular model puts it in the restricted class, but non-restricted versions are available.
There is soft point ammo available in 7.62×39 so you are not limited to FMJ plinking, these rifles make great close range/thick brush deer guns as they deliver a punch comparible to the legendary .30-30!

We just got in our first shipment of christmas stock, and its looking good! We are now taking orders for Remingtons new tactical rimfire, the 597 VTR (pictured above). In keeping with the season we are offering three very affordable rifle/scope packages. Your choice between a Ruger m77 in .06 or .270 and a Savage Model 16 also in 30.06! Both models are stainless with synthetic stocks, the savage is sitting in the new accu-stock and comes with the much sought after accu-trigger. And for the small framed or youth shooter in the family we are offering a Remington 700 SPS youth Model in .243. Faithfull Bear Creek locals, the site should be up and running this weekend…it looks awesome…we’ve had a lot going on around the store. Hopefully Ill be able to do some more regular updates in the near future but for now expect sporatic/random posts whenever I get the time. Weve got a good supply of handgun and .223 on the shelves. The handgun counter is full and the long gun gun rack is overflowing! Things are shaping up. 
Weve got two new Ar-15s, custom built by wolverine supplies. They are built on Sabre arms lowers, one with a 20inch barrel and fixed stock, the other with a 16in and collapsable m4 style stock. Both come with a new tactical muzzle brake and hard case. They are great guns, come by and check them out if you are a black rifle enthusiast or military buff. We’ve also recieved a new B and T TP9-9mm carbine with an Aimpoint micro uptop. Stay tuned for more updates.
First post using the new blog, more of a test than anything. The painters are hard at work and the store is looking great. The new owner (wayne) has brought in a bunch of new stock with even more on its way. We’ve got a good supply of surplus ammo for any milsurp enthusiasts and a wide array of firearms to meet any shooters needs. Under the new owner we will be carrying a large selection of handguns and “tactical” style firearms (Ar’s CZ’s SKS) as well as everything the avid long range shooter needs for a day at the range….come by and check out the .50 bmg and a large collection of original unfired Winchester 94′ commemoratives!
