Bear Creek Sports will once again begin offering firearms safety classes in the fall/winter of 2011.
New! Now offering an extra feature to our classes which is not offered by anyone else.
Bear Creek Sports will offer the chance to get in some Hands on Practical Shooting.
If you’ve never been to a class here’s a rundown: In most other PAL classes you only get to handle and use deactivated firearms. This is for learning how to load and handle the guns safely and in fact deactivated guns are what is strictly required by the regulations and all teachers must follow this for safety. You need to know that during your training with anyone else that you will never get to actually
shoot a real gun – Except with us!
shoot a real gun – Except with us!
We are changing this by adding onto our regulated PAL classes, an extra opportunity outside of the standard offering, we have the ability to do so because of the nature of our business.
We do this on the last day right after the classes are completed so by this point you would have already learned safe handling and loading. Now you will be safely supervised and provided with all the equipment you need including, hearing protection, safety glasses, the gun (s) you will shoot and the ammo. We have decided to offer this because we believe that firearms classes need to have more practical hands on firing included in the learning experience even if it is not a requirement of the classes. Nobody learns to drive just by sitting in the car and reading a manual and we don’t think that using a firearm should be any different. You benefit greatly by having the practical experience of firing a real gun.

By offering the opportunity to get in the practical experience with a fully functional firearm you will be able to Get Your Aim Right! This will also help you to feel the power of kickback and also help you to decide which kind of a gun you will want own in the future. We are proud to be able to offer you this extra feature and hope this will start you off with the added skill you need as a new shooter.
Bear Creek Sports also makes sure each student has a good amount of attention by limiting our class size to no more that 15 people at a time.
We are collecting names of those who are interested for this fall. The classes will be held in the Joe Rich area of Kelowna BC (off of Hwy 33) Thurs, Fri evenings and Sat afternoons.
Cost is $100.00 for course, $20.00 for the manual ( an additional 50.00 required if you would like the bonus opportunity of firing some real guns on the final day of the course.)
A deposit of 50.00 is required to reserve a place in the class.
